Frequently Asked Questions

Navigate the complexities of on-chain forensics, regulatory compliance, and incident recovery with absolute technical clarity. This repository is engineered to bridge the gap between raw ledger telemetry and actionable strategic intelligence, providing legal counsel, institutional auditors, and sovereign investors with the definitive framework required to operate within the digital asset landscape with total certainty.

General Intelligence

Bholder is a high-stature blockchain forensic and intelligence platform. We provide institutional-grade tools for asset tracking, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, and incident reporting. Our mission is to provide “Digital Sovereignty” by transforming raw on-chain data into actionable forensic truth.
Our platform is designed for a broad spectrum of users, including individual high-net-worth investors, legal counsel, compliance officers, and Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) who require deep-tier verification of digital assets.
Yes. The free tool uses the same real-time telemetry engine as our professional suite. However, while the free tool provides a “Perimeter Scan” (direct hits on blacklists), our Full Forensic Audit goes much deeper, mapping recursive paths and behavioral fingerprints that simple scans might miss.

Technical & Forensic Logic

We use a multi-layered attribution engine. Beyond standard government blacklists (like OFAC), we analyze Behavioral DNA. This includes identifying patterns like “Peeling Chains,” interactions with mixers (e.g., Tornado Cash), and proximity to known criminal clusters. We don’t just look at where a wallet is—we look at where the funds came from.
Yes. We specialize in Cross-Chain Contagion Mapping. Even if an attacker uses a bridge to move assets from Ethereum to Solana or Bitcoin, our “Liquidity Echo” sensors monitor volume and timing signatures to maintain a continuous chain of evidence across fragmented ecosystems.
A Sanction Echo is a secondary risk. A wallet might not be blacklisted itself, but if it received funds from a wallet that was three “hops” away from a sanctioned entity, it carries a “Sanction Echo.” We quantify this risk to ensure you stay compliant with global AML regulations.

Safety, Privacy & Recovery

Immediately use our “Report an Incident” page. Time is the most critical factor. Our engine will attempt to “Intercept” the trail before the assets reach a non-compliant exchange or a high-obfuscation mixer. Once reported, you will receive a preliminary summary to provide to law enforcement.
Absolutely. We operate on a Zero-Storage Mandate. Unlike other tools that build a database of who is searching for what, Bholder utilizes Zero-Knowledge (ZK) Inquiry logic. Your forensic searches are ephemeral and are purged from our active logs after the report is delivered.
No private company can “freeze” a decentralized ledger. However, our Expert Forensic Reports are designed to be court-admissible. You can use our report to obtain a Mareva Injunction or legal order, which is then served to centralized exchanges (VASPs) to freeze the assets upon arrival.

Institutional Integration & API Connectivity

Yes. For Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs), OTC desks, and institutional custodians, we provide a high-throughput Forensic API. This allows for the automated screening of every inbound and outbound transaction against our real-time risk scoring engine, ensuring your platform remains compliant without manual intervention.
Absolutely. Our reports are delivered in structured JSON format for automated ingestion into your existing Compliance Management System (CMS), as well as forensic-grade PDF formats for manual review by your legal or compliance teams.
We provide Sovereign Partner packages that allow law firms and private investigation agencies to utilize the Bholder engine under their own branding. This enables you to provide “Expert Forensic Reports” to your clients, backed by our sub-second chain mapping and behavioral DNA technology.
Our Regulatory Logic Layer is updated in real-time to reflect changes in FATF, MiCA, and individual national frameworks. When a new entity is sanctioned or a new “High-Risk” jurisdiction is identified by global regulators, our engine automatically updates its risk scoring parameters across all active API nodes.
